Dojoji - Temple

The style here is immaculately consistent, the rhymes are exquisite and the rhythm enchants you with its steady pace that is broken with sudden off-beats. V. Dolgachev staged two plays of Mishima (one of them translated by G. Chkhartishvili, more famous as B. Akunin) without «Japanese exotics», kimono, tabi and fans. Nevertheless the performance undoubtedly conveys the air of the Japanese theatre.

And for Dolgachev the theatre itself is the temple of time that kills the beauty and longs for it in order to revive it anew. How badly do we lack today the skillfully made and meticulously sharpened theatre.
