Sindbad the Sailor (6+)

О спектакле

The play «Sindbad the Sailor» is written by a true expert of children’s theatre, V. Shulzhik, the author of repertory bestsellers of previous years ( «A secret for everyone»; «A Kingdom Without Fools, «The Straw Sun» ), together with Y. Fridman. The plot is based on the famous «Arabian Nights» ("1001 Nights") fairy tale collection: a romantic story of love between the poor gardener Ali and the king’s daughter, beautiful Zeinab, with the help from their friend Sindbad. A masterpiece of intrigue, the story is full of adventures. There are a lot of different picturesque characters: unlucky treasure hunters, evil wizards, good magicians, and a lot of comical situations by land and by sea. It is the comical situations that make this beautiful and energetic story charming and fill it with kindness.

The action takes place among the beautiful decorations of artist Margarita Demiyanova, and they are a real treat for children as well as for adults. The costumes of Natalia Zakurdayeva are also magnificent. The music of Larisa Kazakova and choreography of Anna Melovatskaya add to the performance the qualities of a real children’s musical.
