О спектакле

The story written in the beginning of the last century by a magnificent Russian writer Alexander Kuprin, cannot leave cold any child or their parents.

The company of strolling players, a good old hurdy-gurdy player Martin Lodizhkin, his foster child Sergei, a gymnast, and a white trained poodle Arto, earn their daily bread performing on the streets. One day they visit a rich master’s house, a villa named «Friendship». The twelve-years old Sergei watches an absolutely different life that doesn’t look familiar at all.

A spoiled boy named Trilly, a master’s son, is pampered beyond measure and manipulates his parents and numerous nurses. His last whimsy is to have a faithful dog Arto, who impressed him much with its performance. Trilly thinks that a possession of the dog will help him to get the so inviting feeling of a true friendship. But the old man and Sergei are not ready to betray their friend for all the money in the world. And then «the masters» resort to unfair means...
